Stars Are Born?

This past Sunday the kids sang a couple of songs in front of the church for Christmas. And, shockingly, both of my children actually sang instead of just standing there like robots with a run-down battery!! This year, the 4 and under crowd sat on the steps, instead of standing. In addition, there was a new "cue" screen (a monitor facing the stage that they could see) with the words to the songs on it. I think both of these changes helped distract the kids so much that they forgot they were actually in front of a very large crowd. Sadly, we forgot the camera for the first service, where the kids were "fresh" and the performance was a little better. BUT, Brian was able to run home in between services to capture round 2...Keith ran out mid-way through the performance, but Addy stuck it out!

And here is a very blurry video:

Until next blog,
Jen

I love the part where sweet little Emery starts crying and someone comes to get her the heck out of there! That is too sweet.

Yes, and little Ella/Elle (I can't remember her name, the girl in the red dress) who just won't sit still for anything! On the way out she told me she was excited to go home and do something with her dad, so maybe that's why she wasn't sitting still! Kids are too funny!

Where you in charge of this? Children singing (and wandering around the stage) is one of the best parts of Christmas time services.
