The Beanies come out of storage
Yes, we were one of the thousands that were sucked into the Beanie Baby craze about 10 years ago. We even had a few that were preserved in their plastic boxes to keep them in "mint" condition. Well, Brian recently realized that they weren't worth squat, so we pulled them out of storage last night to see if the kids would have any interest in them. Keith showed no interest in something that didn't have wheels. Addy, however, was in heaven. She immediately claimed all the cats and reptiles as her own, as well as anything with rainbows or green on it!! The rest were put back in the boxes and back in storage. We still have 2 boxes, so if you're looking for a beanie baby to complete your collection, let me know and I'll see what we can do!

THAT IS SO FUNNY!!! It will be interesting to see how long the beanies will stay in bed with her. I bet you could make some good $$$ selling your other beanie boxes at a garage sale! you'd make someone's dream come true! Maybe even pay for preschool fundraisers with the hard earned cash! ha ha
If you are desperate to get rid of the beanies, Riley accepts beanies with tags and distributes them to kids in the hospital. We acquired a few while we were there.

And to my most important question in comment form... what happened to the bookclub recommendations and synopses? I have recently read: Kite Runner, Thousand Splendid Suns, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, and The Memory Keeper's Daughter. I need some more recommendations - what are you reading now? Ever think of reimplementing that book portion of your blog?
Yes, I got behind on the book club review and then we had a Christmas hiatus...hence the deletion of that portion. It will resume again next week after our discussion of the current book...The Kite Runner (which you've already read, Amanda, so no help there!).
Just see how "stuffed" my bed is now.
